Red Rocks Joran P

The polled Red Rocks Joran P (Jacko PP x Nano P x Briljant) can boast a slightly unusual pedigree and - equally as important - an awesome cow family. The family we are referring to is the exceptionally successful Hyde line, that figures in Joran P's maternal line. Rarely has one and the same cow family produced so many breeding bulls (including Jacuzzi and K.I SAMEN bull Slash).

Marginally less well-known is the robust cow family (the Josefien line) behind the homozygous polled bull Jacko PP, who sired Joran P. Thanks in part to the contributions of bulls like Balisto and Snowfever, calving ease bull Jacko PP offers an interesting pedigree for the red-and-white segment  In addition, he passes on balanced, all-round production and conformation traits: positive scores for milk and components and good scores for traits including udders and legs. This picture is nicely completed with super udder health, fertility and durability.

The Hyde family mentioned above, represented in Joran P's maternal line, has its origins in the USA. Cows from this line excel in good conformation (10 generations of VG cows) and high lifetime production. A few examples include Marconi daughter Shera with lifetime production of more than 150,000 kg and O-Man daughter Sylke (the 5th generation in Joran P's pedigree), who noted lifetime production of more than 110,000 kg. The breeding bulls produced by this line also have some notable scores. Tried and trusted old favourites like Willis, Stilist and Antidote or recent breeding bulls like Treasure, Reloader, Slash and Jacuzzi are all part of this family. Of these breeding bulls, Jacuzzi and our young bull Joran P have the closest relationship. Their respective great grand dams, Jarmila (VG 86) and Jacolien 1 (VG 86), are full sisters.
