In the shape of the Red Holstein bull Prince Holsteins Rudolf Red (Rubels x Bart x Leonidas), K.I. SAMEN presents an all-round bull from a new cow family. He can justifiably claim to be all-round thanks to the impeccable performance of both his paternal and maternal lines (both show an almost faultless pattern regarding production and conformation). In addition, Rudolf Red also carries the most favourable casein variants Kappa BB and Beta A2A2. To sum it up, this bull is an exemplary all-rounder.
Rudolf Red’s sire Rubels (Argo x Rubicon) has been used as a bull sire worldwide. He has a unusual bloodline (for the red-and-white population) and passes on lots of milk with practically neutral components. Rubels is also top class when it comes to conformation. Correct frames, good legs (slightly curved side view rear legs) and super udders.
The Elza family, who appear in Rudolf Red’s maternal line, is a new name for K.I. SAMEN. The solid, later maturing Elzas have an excellent milk index and combine this with good component percentages. In the fifth generation, we come across a real star performer: Lord Lily daughter Elza 21, who merits 86 points and has lifetime production in excess of 115,000 kg of milk. Via Online daughter Elza 79 we arrive at the first red-and-white cow in this family, Elza 91. Elza 91 is the great grand dam of Rudolf Red. She was awarded 84 points as a heifer but, due to a problem during a dry period, did not produce more than 40,000 kg of milk (with more than 3.60% protein). Rudolf Red’s grand dam Elza 120 (VG 89) has already easily surpassed this lifetime production figure. She still enjoys excellent health and has two very good daughters by Bart: Elza 133 and Elza 137, who were calved in succession. Elza 137 was registered as a heifer with 85 points, Elza 133 (Rudolf Red's dam ) was awarded 88 points as a second calf cow. Both score very good lactation values, including high protein levels (more than 3.70%).
