Hudson son Poppe Surano combines the best of both worlds. On the dam’s side there is incredible drive for production and persistency, while the sire’s side excels in components, all-round conformation, health traits and late maturity.
Dam Xemmi, a relatively fresh third calver, already records a lifetime production of nearly 70,000 kg of milk! That means over 46 kg of milk per production day so far. Her third record has also started strongly. This drive for production runs through the family, as seen in the very productive Supershot great grand dam Xenia (VG 87). In her second lactation she also produced more than 16,000 kg of milk with 3.73% protein in 305 days. This internationally bred and outstanding producing X family originates from Thoenes Holsteins in Germany.
A fine complement to this X line is the Sandra cow family behind sire Saul Hudson, known for alert, assertive cows with excellent longevity. Surano is therefore the perfect combination of both – showing dairy type and round features, a wide rump and excellent legs.
