Poppe Red Hot Freebird Red

Alternative bloodlines in the Holstein population are becoming increasingly important. For this reason and others, black-and-white bulls are regularly used in the red-and-white population, and vice versa. This also applies to the red-and-white Holstein bull Poppe Red Hot Freebird Red (Freestyle x Esperanto x Balisto), whose line includes the top sires Esperanto and Balisto. Partly thanks to the contribution of these bulls, the already impressive F-line delivers fabulous conformation and milk production.

The F-line, which is Freebird Red’s maternal line, has a stunning foundation cow in the shape of the American Factor daughter Feebe (EX 92). A line of daughters by Marshall, Konvoy and Lightning in succession brings us to the imposing Fienchen 580. This 89-point registered daughter by Stol Joc realised lifetime production of almost 120,000 kg of milk and is the 4th dam of Freebird Red. Her daughter by Amor, Fientje (VG 86), boosted the component percentages of the pedigree. She achieved lifetime production of almost 60,0000 kg of milk with 4.64% fat and 4.04% protein. A generation further, we arrive at a stunning cow: a Balisto daughter, Feebe. Feebe scores 89 points, is still in good health and to date has produced almost 70,000 kg of milk with high component percentages. She has produced several good daughters including Salvatore daughters Faya (VG 85) and Fenya (VG 85) and a daughter by Spark, Fabiene (VG 86). However, the jewel in the crown of Feebe's daughters is Feather (VG 87), the dam of Freebird Red. She steals the show in terms of both conformation and production. 

Sired by Freestyle, Freebird Red certainly has high quality on both sides of his pedigree. Calving ease bull Freestyle is known to improve production significantly and combines this with very good conformation, including super udders. He also adds high level health traits and longevity, and like his son Freebird Red, Freestyle has the A2A2 variant for beta-casein.
