We recognised the potential of Merteshof Duncaster PP Z267 at an early stage and by the age of four months he had meat in all the right places. He also has a characteristic Angus head and the mating with Duncaster PP leaves nothing to be desired.
His sire is Quaker Hill Dead Center, an American bull who produces progeny with a short gestation period and a calving ease of almost 100%. Dead Center is known to produce smaller calves at birth with quick growth and weight gain rates (strongly muscling). He has extremely high breeding values (Terminal Index 56) (Self Replacing Index 84). Dead Center was sired by Exar Denver 2002B, a bull who set all sales records in the US in 2013-2014. He was popular for his rapid calf growth and development and meat quality. Dead Center's dam is Quaker Hill Blackcap 0A32, an exceptional Angus cow who had a phenomenal start to her production career.
Duncaster’s dam is Elliot Felicia V978. She was imported from the highest performing farm in Europe, Rawburn Aberdeen Angus in Kelso, Scotland owned by John Eliot. Felicia is a meaty, modern type of Angus cow weighing around 850kg. She descends from the famous Felicia line that can be traced back to ML Felicia Dateline 755A from Denmark. Felicia's sire is Rawburn Black Watch R056, a bull described as being as long as a train with exceptional thickness.
