Gleissner MAX is a beef type Pinzgauer bull. He comes from Austria where the breed originated.
Pinzgauers have always naturally been a dual-purpose breed but have predominantly been used more in breeding for their beefing qualities. Pinzgauers are incredibly resilient and hardy and can easily cope with the harshest weather conditions. They are a robust breed, that does not need or require any particularly special care.
Gleissner MAX was bred by the famous Pinzgauer breeder Michael Gleissner from Ebene Reichenau. At a cattle show in March 2019, one of MAX's daughters was crowned Reserve Champion heifers. MAX is a bull who enjoys enormous popularity in Austria - good reason for us to import him.
When mature, females reach a weight of 700 kg while males weigh 1100 kg. As they are generally not over-heavy at birth, Pinzgauer calves are born easily. However, we do not advise using MAX on maiden heifers.
