Aussendeicher Ragnar

Every now and then, everything falls into place. It's the same with breeding, when the best genes from the paternal and maternal pedigree are combined the results can sometimes far exceed the expectations. Whether this will be the case with Aussendeicher Ragnar (Repairman x Legend x Linfield) remains to be seen in a few years' time. But the combination of components from his sire's line and the extremely milk-rich production of his dam's line could possibly be a winning ticket. 

Occasionally we come across a cow that really stands out in all respects (e.g. production and conformation). Hanna 912, the dam of Ragnar, undeniably belongs to this category. Her conformation is impressive, as is her production. The stunning conformation of Hanna 912 - who merits 93 for her udders -already managed to secure her a third place in the mature cow class at the Schau der Besten (2020). In addition, she was the cow with the highest production in the milk testing association three times! Which is not surprising considering her achievements, including two lists of more 18,000 kg milk (in 305 days). Hanna 912 therefore reached the milestone of 100,000 kg milk at record pace and, now - after her 6th lactation - has already clocked up lifetime production of more than 125,000 kg of milk (an average of 47.7 kg milk per day)!!! Her half-sister, Maik daughter Hanna 744 (VG 87), also confirms the amazing production and durability of this family. Until now, she has realised lifetime production of more than 73,000 kg of milk with the highest lists noting more than 14,000 kg of milk. Their dam Hanna 2 (VG 88 with 89 points for udders) and grand dam Nero 612 (VG 85) have exactly the same qualities: milk-rich lacations and high lifetime production (almost 75,000 kg milk and 50,000 kg milk respectively). 

With Repairman as his sire, Ragnar is bound to inherit good component traits. Repairman produces broad, strong cows with solid udders and legs. Now that Maik's daughter Hanna 744 is already showing just how well this pedigree suits the Hanna line, it is up to Maik 's son Repairman to prove the same in the shape of his son Ragnar.
