Valks Joost

Valks Joost is a stunning Lakenvelder bull, bred by Gerrit Wijnne from Barneveld. In 2020, he was used to mate with the cows at Jan Potijk's farm in Zenderen. Valks Joost is a unique bull. There are two AI bulls in the fourth generation and four in the fifth generation, which is a very low number. This means he has an inbreeding coefficient of less than 1%, and that is extremely low. 

 

He is a unique outcross bull, who can be used easily. The five generations that precede him number 61 different members and only the name of one bull, Harm - used for natural service - appears twice. 

 

Joost is registered with VG 86 points and thanks to his extremely low inbreeding coefficient makes a welcome addition to the portfolio of Lakenvelders. The committee that classified his frame and feet and legs, both rating VG 87, was positive in its praise. A B+84, his muscularity has a little room for improvement. Joost can be used with confidence, as his pedigree mainly lists natural service bulls.
