Lang Haven London Torpedo

Lang Haven London Torpedo adds another Guernsey bull to our portfolio. He originates from our US partner Triple-Hil Sires who have entered into a partnership with Masterpiece Genetics.

Over the past few years Masterpiece Genetics has injected new life into the Guernsey breed with a lineup of high-quality bulls. The Masterpiece emphasis on providing genetics from proven cow families and common-sense matings aligns closely with our vision of breeding.

Torpedo is described as the breed’s best for production and type. Using a DNA test (GTPI) he scored positive for milk and components, above average for daughter fertility, and extremely well for conformation (+2.1 for udder and no less than +4.3 for legs).

Masterpiece opens its summary of Torpedo with “Like begets Like “- in other words what you see is what your get! Torpedo has a trustworthy pedigree and proven performance in the barn, which is also important to us. Torpedo is a London son from three generations of excellent, high producing Guernsey cows.

He has been selected by the English Guernsey Cattle Society as a promising bull for widespread use in the Guersey breed in the UK. And that is an excellent reason for us to make him available to the rest of Europe. Torpedo has beta casein A2A2 and aAa 243165.
