Harden Sokaris

Harden Sokaris (Solution x Rocky x Ford) is a bull who brings great balance in his pedigree and his conformation (aAa 351). His pedigree features high milk production in his sire's line and high components in his maternal line. Both sides of his pedigree stand for super conformation: medium statures and very good udders and legs.

 

Solution, Sokaris's sire, is known as a no-nonsense bull with few extremely positive points (apart from the high milk production) but certainly no shortcomings either. As well as his all-round inheritance pattern for conformation, calving ease bull Solution has very good scores for all health traits.

 

Sokaris's maternal line can best be described as solid and reliable with high component percentages. Cows from the Pietje family are hard working cows that blend into the background but give very high lifetime production. His great grand dam, Progetto daughter Pietje 346 (VG 87), produced more than 50,0000 kg of milk and the preceding generations achieved lifetime production of around this figure. Pietje 394 (VG 86), Sokaris' grand dam, ultimately produced almost 90,000 kg of milk. Pietje 394 calved various good daughters, including Zamagni daughter Pietje 465 and Bluejay daughter Pietje 419. Both cows score 84 points for overall conformation and produce milk with more than 3.60% protein. However, her highest scoring daughter is Sokaris's dam, Pietje 453, a 87-point Rocky daughter. She also gives milk with very high components, resulting in an average lactation value of 123.
