Hanstein was sired by Vanstein out of a French bred cow. Hanstein has good muscularity and average stature. He transmits very good conformation with a focus on udders and legs, scoring high for both.
His dam is a Rum daughter. In her first milk yield record, and fed forage rations in France, she produced almost 6000 litres with good component percentages , and high protein in particular. Epope started her second record with production of no less than 40 litres a day!
Hanstein’s first daughters have a good somatic cell count and an average milking speed. Calves by Hanstein are born normally, but he is probably not a calving ease bull.
Hanstein is an easy to use choice on hard-working cows of average stature with a long working life in the herd.
