De Vinkenhof Relano

Coming from one of the best cow families (the Danielles) in the MRIJ population on his maternal side, the basic qualities of De Vinkenhof Relano (Rudo x Mustang x Baltimore) are unparalleled. In addition, his sire Rudo has also evolved into a proven all-round bull. Rudo represents a solid plus for milk, combined with neutral protein percentages. He also delivers a strong performance for conformation: good legs, very good udders and correct frames are the regularly recurring pattern in his daughters.

Relano’s maternal line also matches this great performance for conformation, including seven generations of VG or EX cows. The entire family is high quality, but there are two outstanding achievers. The first one we would like to mention is the foundation cow, Danielle 10. This Manuel 142 daughter, who scored 90 points, produced more than 90,000 kg of milk (with 3.90 % protein) and is, among other achievements, the 4th dam of SAMEN bull Duncan through her EX daughter Danielle 51. She also features further along in the pedigree of Relano. Tracing the lineage through her Piet 225 daughter Danielle 16 (VG 85), Albert J grand daughter Danielle 39 (VG 88), and great grand daughter by Dorus, Danielle 54 (VG 89) we arrive at Matthijs daughter Danielle 69, who scores VG 88 and is the 3rd dam of Relano. Her daughter, Danielle 95, who is Relano's grand dam and registered with 93 points, is the other prominent cow deserving of further explanation. Danielle 95 has claimed many titles. She was awarded ‘Star Cow 1’ status, was MRIJ cow of the year in 2016 and was elected Best Cow of the Year in 2019. She has good udder health, is fertile and scores an average lactation value of 120 over eight lactations!
