To add some spice to the mix, we present a red-and-white bull from the Super Star line owned by the Knoef family. Following in the footsteps of the red-and-white Redstar and the red-factor carrier Surprise (a half-brother of Radar Love's dam), is red-and-white Big Radar Love (Rosebud x Spell x Tequila). Once again, this is a bull who offers a slightly unusual bloodline and a lineage bursting with bulls with reliable daughter-proven data.
The Super Star family is made up of cows with correct conformation (eight generations ranked VG or EX!) and high production that progresses over the milk recording lists and includes extremely good protein levels. One of the prime examples is Radar Love's grand dam Super Star 69 (EX 91). She is also the dam of Malki son Surprise RF. This excellent-ranked Tequila daughter has already produced more than 130,000 kg of milk and shown amazing progress over the years with the last lactations meriting a lactation value of 125. She has already produced various fine daughters, including Super Star 168 (heifer champion at the HHH Show 2018) sired by Leonidas and Big Spell daughter Super Star 188. Super Star 188 is Radar Love's dam. She has also show good progression (103 LV as a heifer and 119 LV on her second calf) and persistency in her production performance.
Rosebud, Radar Love’s sire, has turned out to be an exemplary all-rounder for breeding purposes. He passes on super production potential with good conformation, with traits including correct udders. The calving ease bull also transmits higher than average milking speed with a good somatic cell count, and he scores high for hoof health and fertility among other traits.
